Tilt Sensor (MEMS) | Model 6190

  • The Model 6190 (front) and 6190S (back) MEMS Tilt Sensors with mounting bracket assembly.
SKU:
Model 6190

The Model 6190 MEMS Tilt Sensors are designed for attachment to structures, on either a vertical or horizontal surface, and for the subsequent measurement of any tilting that may occur. The sensor itself is a MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) sensor, which offers a high range, with high sensitivity and accuracy. The Model 6190 includes an adjustable mounting bracket, which is bolted to the structure of interest using the supplied hardware.

The tilt sensors can be ordered as standalone units or combined into strings, and are connected to each other by means of a four-wire bus cable, with waterproof connectors. The industry standard Modbus® Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) protocol is used to communicate. Automated monitoring is accomplished using any of the GeoNet Addressable Loggers, 8600 Series Dataloggers, Campbell Scientific Dataloggers or any other device capable of being a Modbus RTU client and having an RS-485 port.
