The Model 6100 MEMS Inclinometer Probe is used in conjunction with inclinometer casing for the measurement of lateral earth movements which might occur in unstable slopes, land slides, dam and roadway embankments, and landfills. They are also used to measure deflections in the walls of excavations, shafts, tunnels and in caissons, piles and sheet piling. The Model 6100 consists of a waterproof, stainless steel housing, and contains two MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Sensor) transducers, one with its axis in the plane of the spring-loaded wheels; the other at 90° (used in conjunction with the Model GK-604 Inclinometer Readout).
The Model GK-604 has been replaced by the Model GK-604D Digital Inclinometer System.
¹Within 3° of vertical. This takes into account the accumulation of the error inherent with each reading, and normal placement errors in positioning the probe inside the casing; also the effect of debris in the casing, or casing damage.
